Therese Island is an island in Seychelles. Its size is 188,3 acres (76,2 ha) and its maximum length/width is around 1,6kmX740m. Its height is around 164 meters. The island is located on the western side of Mahe, in the Port Glaud District. The island is located less than 700m south of Port Glaud’s shore. North of Terese is bay, and between bay and island, there is a nice coral reef with turqoise waters.
Therese Island is famous in the region as it is relatively big, thus always in sight and tourists often visit the island due to its awesome beaches and coral reef for swimming and other water-based activities. Therese Island indeed features a bright white sandy beach (up to 650m long) with plenty of coconut palms for good scenery and shade, and of course, granite rocks, a trademark of Seychelles and this region. There is also smaller beach (around 85m long)
The island itself is raised with hills, and plenty of granite can be seen there, covered in dense vegetation. Yes, trees, coconuts, and bushes blend very well with the island, and they create very nice scenery and views of the ocean or neighboring islands. South and west parts of the island do not have beaches, those edges are rocky instead with some cliffs. However, the roof protects those shores of the island.
This beautiful island is for sale or a long lease. I would definitively recommend this island as it is an Robinson Crusoe type island with white beach, warm blue waters, hills, a lot of vegetation.. And yet it is relatively close to population and all amenities.
