Unfortunately, this happens as well. The world news covered this issue that one is dead and dozens trapped so far (around 30 people according to some articles) during garbage landslide in Binaliw, central part of the Philippines in Cebu. The exact cause of this accident is not known yet, but there are opinions that it may be due to bad management of garbage. That happened yesterday. Hundreds of emergency staff, ambulance, firetrucks and bulldozers have been seen on the spot. The Binaliw landfill occupies about 15 hectares, and there are reports that even some trash managed to get to the nearby village as well after collapse. This is important as an example for environmental issues and cases as this happens on the tropical islands as well. Cases like this can cause significant damages to both environment, animals and people.
