Cativo Islands (or Islotes de Cativo) are archipelago of few islands and rocks in Panama, Pacific part. Three Island’s combined area is 22,2 acres (9 hectares) and from one point from the first point of one island to the last point of the last there is around 985 m length, and 285m width. The maximum height is about 35m (according to elevation profile). The islands are close to each other, from 60 meters away and more.

24 kms southwest of Cativo Islands there is large Coiba Island, famous Coiba National Park, a famous destination. There are also many various islands around Cativo Islands. Panama City is around 256kms northeast of Cativo archipelago via airline. David, capital town of Chiriqui region is 128kms northwest of archipelago via airline.

Cativo Islands are high, and have drastic cliffs, and are covered in dense vegetation, really looking like island designed for adventurers. They are not developed at all, nothing has ever build on them, so Cativo islands are prime habitat for seabirds and marine species. On eastern island there is relative flat region, and there is even one white sandy beach around 35m wide, and there is turquoise waters between islands.

There are some waves clashing at shores of rocks. The islands are relatively isolated, less than 2 kilometers from nearby shore where are few beaches, so Cativo Islands can be seen from there. The fact that Coiba (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is nearby is a huge plus. This means that the waters around Cativo Islands are teeming with life – humpback whales, dolphins and sea turtles are “natives” there.

This all make it interesting place, combined with those cliffs and hills. And there are not much information and pictures about this archipelago, so it is a well kept secret. Cativo Islands are on sale for 450000$ and only those two sites are offering them:
