Isla No So

Isla No So (No So Island or originally Isla Ñö Sö) is small island in Bocas Del Toro Region, Panama, the Caribbean Part. Its size is 8000m2 (0,8ha or 2 acres) and its maximum length/width are around 205mX75m. The island is located in located in Loma Partida, Bocas del Toro Archipelago, and is just 150 meters away from Loma Partidas shore. Bocas Del Toro town itself is less than 22kms north via airline. The name Isla No So means “Moon Water” in Gnobe Bugle native local dialect.

jetty with boats on the island

Isla No So is on the maritime route between Isla Colon and Chiriqui Grande. The island is nested in protected calmed bay surrounded with dozens of islands around. There are some numbers of houses nearby on shores but it is still peaceful and quiet. There is nobody and no island south and southwest from No So Island for about 15,3 kms to the south and 8kms southwest  which means that it guarantees some kind of privacy and peacefulness.

a view from the house

Like environment itself, Isla No So itself if almost whole covered in green lush vegetation and surrounded by shallow warm Caribbean waters. There are also some coconut palms on the island to add to tropical scenery. The island has dock for boats and has infrastructure, the house that is almost completed and fully furnished, needs to be completed. Yes, the owners of the island are currently selling it, and I had an opportunity to talk with Virginie Levesque, the owner of that island.

despite having house there, there is a plenty of vegetation

There is no white sandy beach on the island, but she says it can be easy done, here is an quote:

Thank you! It is a beautiful place indeed. As for the sandy beach well… it is doable. Someone could be hired to bring sand on the front part of the house. It was in our projects but life is calling us somewhere else. We’ll give the contacts to the future owner. Just by doing this, the value would increase sooo much!
