Whitehaven Beach

Whitehaven Beach is a 7 km long beach in Whitsunday Island, Queensland. The beach is known for its crystal white silicate sands (a type of quartz) and bright blue waters. That beach is maintained, and smoking is prohibited on it, as are dogs. Unlike ordinary sand, the sand on this beach does not retain heat, which makes it comfortable for walking barefoot during a hot day. This sand is also very fine and tiny, and can damage electronic equipment such as telephones and cameras, although it is also good at polishing jewelry.

Whitehaven beach is a natural wonder! A beautiful place to visit and relax, and should be protected well. It is a famous tourist attraction.

This beach is constantly in many famous and credible tourist magazines and sites, usually in second place in the world! Millions of people around the world voted for it.
