Olanivan Island

Olanivan Island is an island in the Philippines, Davao Occidental. It is located in the Municipality of Sarangani, about 2 kms north of Sarangani Island. Its max length/width is around 570mX510m. The island is circular in shape and it is an ,,Maldives Style” island having ,,three layers” (encircled by its own reef, encircled with a white sandy beach and green vegetation inside).

beautiful white sandy beach and turquoise water

Olanivan Island has a very nice coral reef with turquoise and blue water shades, warm water, and a circular white sandy beach. Walking around the island on the beach would take around 1,6km. And almost the whole island is covered in vegetation. There are various trees, bushes, and grass, but most of the island is covered with coconut palms. It seems that there is a coconut plantation on the island.

dense vegetation and a lot of coconut palms

It is a flat island, and the scenery there is very nice, postcard-looking. It is good for water-based activities around and bird watching and is being promoted as a good place for nature lovers and people who want peace and tranquility. Being close to Sarangani and Balut islands provides Olanivan Island’s connection to populated areas and the amenities they offer. Tourists often visit the island, and many tour operators in Sarangani province offer boat trips.

there are good views at neighboring islands.
